Fees
Long waiting lists and a request that exceed the supply is a well-known dilemma. The so-called “Kassensitze” are limited to a number that doesn't nearly cover the demand. Especially in big cities it can be difficult to find a psychotherapist with free capacity that gets reinbursed by the statutory health insurance (because of the Kassensitz). I currently work without one.
Private Payment
It is possible to cover the costs for your psychotherapy at any time privately if that is possible, needed or advisable. For example if you don't have an official disorder and therefore insurance will not cover it. Or if you don't want your insurance to know about your treatment, for example if you plan to become part of civil service or are receiving occupational disability insurance, a visit could have negative effects.
Private Insurance
If you have a private insurance the costs will most likely be covered. Please get in touch with your provider first to ask about the exact conditions for how to get reinbursed.
Subsidy
If you work for the state or city you might get a so-called “Beihilfe”. This plus a private insurance, which you would automatically have in this case, usually cover the costs.

From the Statutory Health Insurances I accept Bahn BKK. If you are insured in them or would consider switching over please contact me for further information.
Fees
Currently, a session costs between 131.11€ and 140.76€. The fee of 131.11 roughly corresponds to the fee for individual psychotherapy according to the Uniform Value Scale (EBM) including the structural supplement and the supplement for short-term therapy in contract practices. According to the GOÄ/GOP, this corresponds to the multiplier factor of 3.26 for item 861. The report to the assessor is billed once at 187.69€. For further possible services, a multiplier factor of 3.26-3.5 also applies.
